A Drug Abuse Awareness and Prize Distribution Programme was organized at the auditorium of Poornaprajna PU College, Sangameshwarapete, on 28 September 2026. The programme aimed to create awareness among students about the harmful effects of drug abuse and to encourage them to adopt a healthy and responsible lifestyle.

The awareness session highlighted the physical, mental, social, and academic consequences of substance abuse. Students were encouraged to stay away from drugs and other harmful substances and were advised to make positive choices in life. The importance of education, discipline, sports, and healthy habits in preventing substance abuse was also emphasized.

Following the awareness programme, a prize distribution ceremony was conducted to honour students who had achieved success in sports at the district level. The winners were felicitated with prizes and certificates in recognition of their talent, hard work, dedication, and sporting achievements.

The programme conveyed an important message to students: a drug-free life combined with education, discipline, and participation in sports can contribute to a healthy and successful future.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks to the dignitaries, organizers, teachers, students, and all those who contributed to its successful conduct.
